1524年以来、カッポーニ家が所有する Greve-in-Chianti / グレーヴェ・イン・キアンティの歴史あるワイナリー。1992年、37代目にあたる現当主セバスティーノ氏が引継ぎ、この時初めて自分たちの手で200haの土地の管理を始め、それによってワインの品質が目覚ましく向上し、ワイナリーは大きく進化、発展しました。




このワインは、イタリアらしいブドウ品種、グレケットと少量のヴェルナッチャを用い、ワイナリーの中でも最もフレッシュ感みなぎる畑で手摘み収穫後、直接ワイナリーに運ばれ柔らかい圧力でプレスされます。果汁は、清澄され、温度管理された小さなタンクの中で、土着の酵母を使い醗酵を行います。瓶詰めは、収穫後の冬の間に行われます。 透明感と輝きのある緑掛かった麦わらの色調で、フルーティーでありながら複雑味ある様々なブーケが特徴です。味わいはバランスが良く、風味と余韻に程よい酸味が感じられます。魚や白身の肉料理、山羊のチーズと合わせると良いでしょう。




The traditional Chianti Classico property of Villa Calcinaia in Greve-in-Chianti has been owned by the Capponi family since 1524. Conte Sebastiano Capponi is the 37th generation and significantly, the 1st generation of the family to manage the 200 ha estate in person. Rich, juicy and charming Sanviovese which also has a Pino-esque character. Perfect for barbeque, or any meat dishes cooked at home. The white grapes, Grechetto and a small percentage of Vernaccia, straight from the freshest vineyards of the Estate, are hand-picked and passed through a soft-pressure press. The must is clarified prior to the beginning of the fermentation, which happens in a small, temperature controlled tank, and with the help of indigenous yeasts. The bottling is done during the winter months following the harvest. The colour of the wine is straw-yellow, with shades of green, a fruity bouquet due to the various scents from the grapes. Well balanced on the palate, with a good acidity level in its flavour and aftertaste. It is advisable to combine this wine with fish, white-meat dishes or a nice goat cheese.
